Until
They tell me I must wait,
So I wait.
They telll me I must try,
So I try.
They tell me that the pain,
Isn't all that I will gain,
They tell me that true love won't pass me by.
They tell me, "Act your age",
So I act it.
They tell me, "Be mature",
So I try.
They tell me, "Be yourself",
And everybody else,
And soon, they say, I'll never have to sigh.
But
I'm done with shattered hearts
And failed romances.
I'll shun the petty wisdom
That they cry.
I'll make it understood,
That I'm off of love for good,
That is, until the next sweet face I spy.
So I wait.
They telll me I must try,
So I try.
They tell me that the pain,
Isn't all that I will gain,
They tell me that true love won't pass me by.
They tell me, "Act your age",
So I act it.
They tell me, "Be mature",
So I try.
They tell me, "Be yourself",
And everybody else,
And soon, they say, I'll never have to sigh.
But
I'm done with shattered hearts
And failed romances.
I'll shun the petty wisdom
That they cry.
I'll make it understood,
That I'm off of love for good,
That is, until the next sweet face I spy.
